Our Vision
Composer John Massaro and Librettist John E. Kramer create original, lyrical operatic productions that will inspire and delight audiences today, and for generations to come. They seek to replace the dissonant, atonal productions that have dominated opera for nearly a century with a return to lyrical beauty, inspiring stories and world-class productions to be performed in opera houses across the globe.
“Isabella is a masterpiece! From its story to its orchestration and vocal writing, this opera will leave audiences inspired, deepened in their faith in humanity and themselves, and moved by the bravura of its creators.”

“Composer John Massaro and librettist John E. Kramer’s new opera, Isabella, is a timeless, spiritual, heroic, dark tale of love, seduction and ultimately, redemption. Kramer’s complex story and poignant text marries well to Massaro’s dramatic and wonderfully lyrical score to make Isabella a work that is vocally and orchestrally compelling, and always interesting. At this time in opera’s history, one longs for new works that pay homage to the musical and dramatic elements that have made opera thrive for over 400 years. It can only be hoped that today’s producers will bring works like Isabella to full production to move and inspire audiences, and show this lyrical/theatrical medium is still very much relevant in the 21st century.”

"Composer John Massaro and librettist John Kramer have created works that I expect will make a major contribution to opera, drawing in larger audiences to the art form because of their beauty and accessibility. The Seven Sisters is ethereal and haunting, with beautiful melodies, and the melodies of Isabella are very lush. It is hard to find this kind of music being composed these days; there is definitely a market for it. Here’s hoping their works are produced soon."
